The Vault Buxton

The Vault is located on higher Buxton’s historic marketplace opposite the town hall. Ideally located for public transport links, shops and all major tourist attractions, including the Pavilion Gardens, Crescent and Opera House.

Originally a chemist, then a building society, The Vault first opened as a pub in the year 2000 and was fully refurbished in the summer of 2020.

We are proud to describe ourselves as a non corporate, independent free house that sources its fresh food from local trusted partners. Both family and dog friendly, we welcome Buxton’s tourist trade with open arms to partake in a tipple from our extensive range of beers, wines and spirits.

We aim to offer a high level of personal service, which is cited by our regular customers as one of the main reasons we stand out from the crowd. Friendly familiar bartenders, servers who spend time building relationships with patrons and management who go that extra mile to create bespoke special events are some of the business traits that make us special!
